Only handful of craftsmen in the world used to ply their trade of fine trunkmaking, an art, that combined the crafts of leather working and woodworking; and Ghurka was and still is one the few doing this in highest possible quality. Here, Ghurka leather and twill cleated and stitched onto tongue-and-groove birch frames in such a meticulous manner that only three numbered sets were made each month. Strong yet lightweight, fully lined in leather features organizational panel and double file compartments; handle is hand rolled, padded then hand stitched resulting in a beautiful and comfortable-to-grip handle; solid brass finished 3-dial combination lock polished by hand and solid brass Ghurka designed hinges that still are intact after many years. This is extremely rare Ghurka brief offered from our archive in fantastic condition.
